All your friends have to do is ACTIVATE their subscription and then
drop me a comment and tell me,

"(YOUR NAME HERE) sent me" by August 15th and when you're total ACTIVATED friends reaches 5, I'll let you know and all you have to do is send me YOUR ADDRESS and the ITunes are on the way.

Found your blog by way of a funny review on Yelp. So here I am on a Sunday morning drinking coffee and STILL reading your posts. Not sure how this iTunes gimmick worked out, but probably not as big a traffic / subscriber boost as you'd hoped? Here's something you might try instead:

1. Start adding links to all the blogs out there that you can. Mommy blogs, comedy blogs, life in LA blogs, whatever - BlogHer has a good list.
2. Write a few short posts of your own about the ones you like.
3. After linking to these new blogs and posting about them, send the author a quick email letting them know you like their stuff / have linked to them, and ask them to do the same. Most will do it, some will even write a post about your blog...
4. Traffic should steadily increase over time.
